Hello my name is Emma Brooks, I am a naturopathic nutritional therapist and I am excited to welcome you on your health journey.
I was diagnosed with IBS when I was 18 told to eat more fibre and sent away this, as well as a history of yoyo dieting and allergies let me to read many self help books on nutrition and learning that what I was eating wasn’t helping my gut microbiome. I found nutrition fascinating and after reading many more books
I more recently trained in it. As the saying goes we are what we eat! This doesn’t mean there isn’t any room for the occasional dessert nor does it mean you have to eat a boring diet.
I also trained in pre-conception to young adult nutrition and nutrition for neurodiversity in children. Children’s nutrition is something I am really passionate about as it can make a huge impact on the way they feel, their mood, behaviour, their skin and the way they eat (fussy eaters). Naturopathic Nutrition
looks at the body as a whole and identifies the root cause and then supports the body through nutrition and life style principles. It can be helpful for many things.

I will ask you many questions based on your symptoms and questionnaire looking for answers. Once I have a clear picture of what you need I will deal with the most important issues first and devise a personalised targeted health plan for each individual client based on their needs. I may also suggest Lab tests (at an extra cost).
This will include
A customised diet plan to target nutrients needed (Foods to add and foods and drinks to remove) and recipe ideas, this will not be calorie restrictive. It will be tailored to your lifestyle and needs so for example if you stay in a hotel for work during the week I will give you ideas on how to eat healthily in a hotel room.
Supplement recommendations - We sometimes need to use supplements, I only recommend ones of the highest quality, backed by research. (I will give you a discount code where possible)
Lifestyle recommendations - Work stresses, sleep, screen time can have a huge impact on our heath. I will suggest ways to combat these issues.
Support and coaching - I offer packages with on going support for you to keep you motivated on your health journey this will include telephone or Zoom check ins to see how you are getting on and you can ask me any questions you need.
